Continuously pushing the boundaries of whisky innovation, Dr Bill imagined a whisky inspired by exotic spice markets, where colours and flavours take you on a delicious sensory journey. A Tale of Spices is matured in Moroccan red wine, new charred oak, Pedro Ximenez sherry and shaved toasted red wine casks. A limited edition rarely seen in the whisky industry. The mouthfeel bursts with sizzling spices, lots of ginger, black pepper and mustard seed, which gives a bold earthiness to the flavour, but this is backed up by a soft sweetness like mint toffee and demerara sugar along with some sugar-coated almonds. The whole palate is lifted by a distinct eucalyptus note, and finally the aftertaste has hints of clove, leather and peppermint.
